6th & 7th Grade Schedule 2025-2026
6th and 7th Grade Course Information
Course Information: Some classes meet both days per week, and some classes meet only one day per week. Tuition for classes that meet two days per week is $450, and classes that meet one day per week is $225. (Book/supply fee of $100 per class; no other class fees. 10% discount for full-time enrollment.) Most classes will have 10-30 minutes of homework per school day.
6th/7th Literature and Writing: This class meets on both Wednesdays and Fridays. Students will read novels over the course of the year and will discuss literature concepts, grammar, vocabulary, and writing. In-class activities will be fun and interactive.
6th/7th History: The Classical World: This class meets on both Wednesdays and Fridays. Students will explore the cultural contexts of many New Testament events, as they will study the Greek and Roman classical world. Students will have hands-on projects and activities, along with reading assignments and mapwork.
6th/7th Grade Science: This class meets on both Wednesdays and Fridays. Students will learn about scientists and scientific discoveries from Pythagoras to da Vinci, which corresponds with the time period they’re learning about in their history class.
Pre-Algebra: This course meets on both Wednesdays and Fridays. Students will use Saxon Algebra 1/2, which thoroughly teaches Pre-Algebra concepts. The instructor is an expert at explaining concepts clearly and patiently. For any grade student ready for Pre-Algebra.
Art 1: Introduction to Media: This class meets on Wednesdays only, and is for 6-12th graders. This class will cover an introduction to different art media. Students will learn fundamental art concepts along with an appreciation of art and beauty.
Art: Advanced Drawing: This class meets on Wednesdays only and is for 6-12th graders. This class will cover drawing and rendering with an emphasis on realism. Students should have taken at least one other art class before.
Strategy Games: This class meets on Wednesdays only, and is for 6-8th graders. This class will offer students the chance to play board games and strategy games with one another. All of the games will be educational or strategic in nature, and will reinforce deduction skills, and other educational concepts in a fun environment.
Drama: This class meets on Fridays only, and is for 6-8th graders. This class will allow students to learn different drama and theater skills during class, and give small production(s) during the schoolyear. (This is a separate class from the main theater production that Redeemer students will be offered to participate in, which will be an extracurricular production.)
